First you make a roux - Crabs, shrimp and oysters, in that brown seasoned roux - as only Louisiana can do it! Always served with a bottle of Tabasco so that you can top it off to just your taste - and, of course, a fresh loaf of hot French bread! Each family has its own gumbo recipe, so each one is different and each is absolutely delicious!
