Preservation Hall, at 726 St. Peter Street in the French Quarter, has nightly jazz concerts and you are never sure which band will be playing. The hall is a really small space with just a few benches and some floor cushions and the band is playing typical New Orleans jazz right alongside you. It’s very reasonable to get in, but you must wait in line for one of the few spaces – no reservations! Every night, there is a long line down St. Peter, with hopefuls patiently waiting. Once inside, you can stay for the evening!
