Pirate's Alley, so named because legend has it that the pirate, Jean Lafitte would meet his 'band of brothers' here. This story is not true and neither did Andrew Jackson meet with Jean Lafitte and other pirates to plan the defense of New Orleans. Nevertheless, today, Pirate's Alley is one of the most popular alleys in the Quarter.
